Hi guys,
The cheapest X60s in Canada cost something like CAD3000$! So I decided to find a US store that would ship to Canada.
After intensive searches to find a store that ships X60s to Canada I finnally found Euclid. I searched in the forum but didn't find any information about this store.
Anyone ever ordered from it or have any experience?
If it has decent rating I might get my X60s from it and spread this good news to all Canadians!

Pricegrabber and ResellerRatings. Pretty good, but not great. I personally have not bought from them.

Actually, the lowest price is $2499, which you can get 15% off using visaperks.ca to reach a subtotal of $2124.15 + tax.
There is also a Dell Inspirion 710M on sale for $999 + tax (from $1599 regular price) in Canada today only. -
is there a visaperks in USA?

Have you thought about custom brokerage, tax and duty stuff you need to pay on top of the unit price and shipping? This may kill the deal. I was thinking of ordering a T60 from Eucilid too, but a quick estimate of tax and duty made me give up the idea, I was only looking at a saving of $250. I ended up ordering here in Canada through visaperk site, if I don't like the machine, I can simply return it without paying 15% restocking fee.
The only good thing about ordering from the states is that you can get your unit pretty fast. I placed my order more than two weeks ago and I have no idea what's going on with my order. Lenovo Canada doesn't provide online order status checking.Everytime I called in, I was told I need to wait three to four weeks from the date of order.
No, don't compare a dell to an IBM, lol.

I ordered a lot of stuff from ebay but never had to pay for tax and duty. I always the product to be shipped via something else than USPS as they will charge a lot of tax and duty.
Whats the difference from ebay and buying from a store? If I as them to ship via Fedex like usual, will they charge taxes?
Any info would be helpful. -

You've just been lucky with your ebay purchases. Anything purchased crossing the border that's valued over 20CAD is suppose to be charged appropriate taxes and customs ($60 if it's a gift). ebay sellers can mark the value low on their packages, but if you've ever purchased anything obviously of higher value (i.e. an ipod marked as $20) then you've just gotten really lucky.
From what I know, computers and electronics are only charged taxes and not duty because of trade agreements. The amount of tax is just whatever percentage of sales tax you pay in your province. In addition, all the couriers have handling/brokerage fees they charge for the service of collecting the amount you owe to customs. USPS charges flat fees, $5 for regular, $8 for express packages. UPS and Fedex's brokerage fees depend on the value of the item, which they don't disclose how they calculate but are typically (much) higher than USPS. The priority methods from UPS and Fedex include custom clearance, but of course they cost more to ship. -
You don't have to pay duty only if the item was made in the States. As you know, most computer and electronic stuff were made in China and then imported into the States, so you still need to pay duty which is around 7-8% of the item value if my memory serves me right.

Oh man... Reality really breaks my heart
I've contact Euclid and they told em the shipping was 78$US (fedex express).
Lets say the computer cost 1800$US:
Price with shipping = 1878$US
Price with GST = 2009.46$US
Total price with PST = 2160.17$US
That's approximately 282.27$ ox taxes and duties? Am I right?
