I just placed my order through visaperks.ca for an X61 Tablet, model 7767A4U (the TopSeller edition).

This has the 160 GB drive, 1GB RAM (I will upgrade it later), the SXGA+ screen and the L7500 1.6 GHz processor.

A bit pricey (~$2100 including GST) but Lenovo Canada doesn't have the same 25% off sales as the US site. The visaperks.ca link gives you ~$115 off.

Do you know if this machine has the SUPERVIEW SXGA+ display ? The folks at lenovo seem to be confused as to if this is available in canada yet or not.

I'm pretty sure any X61 Tablet with SXGA+ will have the SuperView. The US and Canadian divisions of Lenovo both get their computers from the same factory in Beijing. The sales reps and the people who update the official web sites are generally clueless about these sorts of minor distinctions.

YGG i just got an email from lenovo today, that verifies what you wrote - the display on the SXGA+ on the x61 tablet is the superview.

For me, I have to wait until the WWAN ones are released in Canada.

If you need mobility, ive been using the Telus WWAN on my x60 and its fantastic, almost no drops in the Toronto area, but its pricy at $15/day unlimited data. Once I get superview so I can actually see the display outdoors, i'll be happier than a .. !!
