I think I've read every old thread comparing the X61 and X61s, and I still can't decide. Of course, I want as much power as possible while docked, and as much battery life as possible while mobile.

I can't find anything comparing the current T8300 to the L7700. 2.4GHz vs. 1.8 GHz seems like a significant gap in processing power. I don't make huge demands on my processor, but I am an impatient person! ;) What would you all do?

p.s. I don't think the brighter Ultralight screen is a big deal to me.

if you want better battery life, get the x61s. if you are a power user get the x61. the t8100 will crush the l7700

Then get the X61s if you want a lot of battery life. The LV CPU is more than enough for every day tasks like Office and Internet.
