The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    X61 - Clean XP install questions

    I am thinking about installing XP pro on my x61 that i bought half a year ago. I was just wondering if I do that, will I still be able to use the Rescue&Recovery function by clicking the "THINKVANTAGE" button when computer starts up? Also, I would only want to do that once and was wondering if there is any software I can use to backup the whole image of it. I want to be able to recover it if it ever dies.
