    hello

i have a ThinkPad X61 for about 2 months and now i had to take a trip so i took it with me. When i arrived at the hotel i opened my X61 turned on the WiFi but it couldn't find the wireless network that was there. My girlfriend's Dell Latitude D420 could find it, so did my PDA.

    Anyone had this problem?

Yes! I just received my X61 tablet yesterday. We have a wireless connection in our apartment, and last night, I was having trouble connecting. But while I was on the phone with IBM, it just started to work for no reason (that I can think of), so that was the end of it. But now, I'm having the same problem again; I called again, and they brought me through some procedure that involves the Wireless Connection (or something like that; it's Fn+F5) program, and I had to edit the settings, and it still doesn't work. (Yes, I had a full signal (I'm 4 inches away from the router), the radio was on, everything was right (security- and other-wise), etc.) They said they couldn't do much else. I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any tips?

My X61 didn't see that router from the beginning. The owner of the router said that 50% of the people that came in his hotel couldn't find the WiFi network. I was among that 50%. The router in question is a D-Link.

I am having a similar issue. I bought a new tablet and it worked fine for a week until all of a sudden it stopped detecting wifi connection. I have other laptop at home and it just works fine. Looks like a lenovo issue to me.
