I'm giving Lenovo another chance, this time ordering an X61s w/o the Ultra Base. First thing is to load XP from the Vista downgrade CD's that are available from IBM. I was going to use a friends Ultra Base that came with his X61 tablet but have been told that mine won't fit.
In reading up on a SONY DRX-S50U DVD multi-burner, one user on NEWEGG stated " can't be used with OS DVD's for booting and formating drives. Had no problem with old real SONY". I'll be using CD's and wonder if I'll run into problems.
