I am purchasing an X61s and there is an option to get a "2x2 UltraConnect II antenna" or a "2x3 UltraConnect II antenna" -- or NO UltraConnect II antenna.

What on earth are these options, how are they different?? I think maybe its the WWAN antenna?? no clue........ and there is no info on it at the shopping page.

anyone can fill me in on this?? thanks :)

Hmm... well, the AGN needs 3 antennas, the AG needs 2.. Maybe that has something to do with it, don't know what the x part means in 2x2 though.

And I'm also wondering if on the T if I'm not getting the new run-through-the-LCD antenna with the Intel option

My guess would be its related to Draft-N, where the card can have multiple antennas, but the current "standards" are 2x2 and 4x4, so I have no clue what 2x3 could be

In x60/x60s 's' means that the laptop has low voltage processor and therefore uses slightly less power. I would presume the same with x61s

The 61s has a slower processor, and is thinner and lighter than the 61. Other than that, they are identical units.

I think the "s" stands for "slim", and it also has a smaller 1.7" hard drive

Both use 5400 or 7200 rpm drives, so it cannot be a 1.8" (not 1.7) drive.
