    Hi,
I am tied of looking and trying so I thought I'd ask the question. I have inadvertently installed two users on my X61! They are both administrators, I think? Regardless I only want one user me and one administrator me.
Also, I guess I screwed up and installed the safety feature that requires mt to use a password for client security in windows? I actually don't know what this does and don't care, I just want it gone.
Actually what I'd like is absolutely NO PASSWORDS period. I have gone to the user accounts and tried to delete the accounts and remove passwords but have failed to remove the user accounts and the client security thing. I think I have been successful regarding removing my administrator account password but time will tell. I have also unchecked the box requiring users to use passwords.
I need some real advice and help, from the start of cleaning this mess up to permanently fixing the problem.

I think discussing about how to bypass security passwords is inappropriate here.

I don't think so but no problem. How do you get rid of a user if your the administrator?

You go into Control Panel and click on User Accounts. You'll be able to manage accounts there.

All I see is an option to add a user not delete a user! Am I missing something? Where do I delete/remove a user account?

Try first clicking on the account you want to delete. There should be an option to delete that account.

    The only options are,
    Change account name
    Create a password
    Change the picture
    or Manage another account!

Again, am I missing something? I want to DELETE/REMOVE an account. More specific instructions if you know them please!

    Do this way...
Right click on My computer, choose manage...
in the Management screen, you should see the one "Local users and group"
Choose that, then you can go from there.

Thanks, I found it. However i have 3 logon names, all mine but only two show up on the list. Administrator and Thinkpad. I'm still confused.
Also, I must have done something because I still can't come up with the Client Security Solution password. Can you email Lenovo and reset of find out what I used. I tried everything. What is Client Security Solution anyway?
    Thanks
    Robert

If you don't even know what it is, why bother with the passwords????
and I'm not sure which one you're missing, cause it should show all of them in there. If not, log on to the Administrator account and do the same thing.

Thanks for the help. I don't want any passwords. Will us computer at home.

Does it cost to email or call Lenovo if you've just bought a computer and ask questions?

I just wrote a long thread about what I've done and what happened and the I did a spell check and it erased it all!

I appreciate everybody's help but a few minutes with a Lenovo person would help me get rid of the client security and straighten me out on the password stuff.

E-mail is free but so is the call center, just give them a shout and see what is up.
