    Hello,

I was in class today using my X61 connected to a wall outlet when someone tripped over my power cord hard enough to pull it from the outlet and bent two of its pins pretty severely. I managed to bend them back to their original position and the laptop seems to be charging normally.

However, I then looked at the connection from the charger to the laptop and notice there is a very slight wobble (up and down) if I try to move the plug. I've never noticed this before (never bothered to check until this incident) so I was wondering if this is normal on the X61.

That is, the power connector on the laptop has a very slight movement and is not completely unmovable?

    Thanks,

How slight is the movement? There will have to be a slight wiggle.

The good news is than unlike the majority of notebook manufacturers that solder the female power plug onto the motherboard Lenovo does not. Instead they screw the plug to the rollcage and then plug it to the motherboard. In other words if it works its probably fine and a little wobble is no big deal.
