All for $1091.40 Canadian. I decided that the X200 tablet, while within my price range wasn't worth the $1000 premium since all I want to do is take notes on my tablet, and I want the larger (non widescreen) space. I'm going to upgrade the RAM and hard drive myself (once SSD comes down).

If you like your machine and are happy with the price you paid, who cares what someone you're never going to meet thinks. This is not a competition, nice machine though. I'd agree the X200t is not worth an extra $1,000.

That sounds like a good deal. The x200t is basically an incremental improvement over the x61t anyway. It is a little faster, a little cooler, and a little more efficient on battery. I also think it is a tad more usable due to the 360° hinge and the true full size keyboard, although the resolution is a bit lower (1400x1050 on a 12" is insane). However, the x200t is definitely not twice as good as the x61t, maybe 40% better, but not twice as good.

FYI, if I try and configure a comparable x61t through my university store it comes out to $1407 US, so I think you got a steal for $1091 CAD.

I guess my main concern is the screen size. The consensus seems to be that widescreen sucks if you want to simulate a piece of paper, which my primary intent.
