I tried to search a bit but I couldn't find this answered. It must have been asked before, I guess that I just can't find it.

I looking at the X61 Tablet and I see that it has a option:
12.1" SuperView WVA SXGA+ TFT, 2x3 UltraConnect II antenna
12.1" MultiView + MultiTouch WVA XGA TFT [add $100.00] [Lenovo recommended]

What is the difference between these two? (except for the obvious resolution difference)

And also if I for example select the L7700 faster processor it will remove my SXGA+ optipn, WHY?
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo L7500 LV (1.6GHz, 4MB L2, 800MHz FSB)
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo L7700 LV (1.8GHz, 4MB L2, 800MHz FSB)

And why is there no SXGA+ option on the non tablet X61?

    :)

Multiview is Lenovo's name for displays that are readable indoors and out. Multitouch is equipped with both digitizer and touch sensor so you can use stylus for high accuracy work and finger for convenience. WVA is abbreviation for Wide Viewing Angle.

Superview is Multiview with SXGA+ resolution.

I have no idea why Lenovo requires the slower processor for SXGA+ panel. My guess is they are trying to meet certain battery life target, since SXGA+ panel does draw more power than a XGA panel.

    Thanks for the reply!

I guess I could email someone at Lenovo and ask. I wish they had that SXGA+ screen on the normal C2D X61 notebook.

Edit: I have looked everywhere after a official sales email address for Lenovo Thinkpad products. I can't find a email address anywhere. I do not really want to call them as I would feel much safer having my questions answered in writing.
