    Hello gang:

    Just two questions here.

    1) Do ALL X61 models come with the external wireless WAN antenna? If not, does X61 part number 7675CTO come with the external wireless WAN antenna?

    2) Considering the X61s, is there much of a performance difference between a 1.60GHz C2D processor (L7500) and a 1.80GHz C2D processor (L7700)? Bonus: How will photoshop run with these processors?

    THANK YOU!

    Not all X61's have WWAN. It is an option at about $150. CTO stands for "customized to order", so every one will be different depending on how the customer configures it. The X61 is cheaper and slightly faster than the X61s, at the expense of being slightly heavier and slightly more battery hungry. I personally wouldn't spend the extra cash for the X61s unless I needed the ultralight display (which is slightly brighter and not available on the X61). I have a 2ghz X61 with 3gb ram running Vista Ultimate. Photoshop flies!

    I have an X61 as well.
    Just wanted to make a remark on the "battery hunger";
    With maximum battery life (power setting) it lasts for a good 8-9 hours.
    Full performance is about 4 hours. And in between these it varies depending on eg. the brightness of your screen.

    So I'd say battery is still pretty darn good.
