A friend of mine is comming from the USA in a couple of weeks. Would any of the above be out yet/ready to ship by then? I've been wanting to buy an X60s, but with the X61 on it's way, I thought I'd wait. I know it would be launched in June, but would it be delivered before the 15th? Also, how much more would it cost than the x60s? I'm optimistic on the price since the t61 price hasn't been exagerated.

    Hi,

Congrats on your coming X61 :)

Where do you live? Did you order it to be shipped from USA to abroad?

I am asking bc I live in Denmark, and it doesn't look like Lenovo supports the ability to customize a laptop anywhere but on their US website. And it says there that they don't ship outside of US. At least thats how I interpreted it ...

You lucky bastard you ... hehe :)

Well... I'm Going to the US in early July, and thinking about picking one up while I'm there and replacing it with a danish keyboard bc its a LOT cheaper in the US ... also due to the USD being low against the Euro.

    Anyway ... congrats on it.

Thats true, there are customs officials in the airport, but I have never experienced such checks, nor heard of any. Worst case is I will end up paying import tax and due to the low USD I'll still end up paying less than danish retail prices.

Besides ... I'll unpack it and start using it before I get home, so it will be hard to say whether its a US purchase or somethin I brought along.

I've never had problems with purchases outside the eu (digital cameras, MP3 players etc) and the rules are the same. So I am not too worried.
