I've searched the forums but haven't found anyone posting their how-to or specific experience with installing XP on either the X61 or X61s.
I am considering purchasing one of these for my father's business, but being able to run XP is a must.
Can anyone post, link or comment on installing XP on the X61 series?

Hi Nanaki,
Still waiting for your TZ?
All I can tell you is that in Thailand you can get the X61 pre-configured with XP Professional. See this link: http://www-07.ibm.com/lenovoinfo/th/notebooks/thinkpad/x-series/index.html
So it is definitely possible. -
I will probably get my TZ towards the end of the month. I hate waiting.
They don't give you the option of XP in Australia, so I guess I will have to install it all for him.
Thanks for the help. -
It isn't hard at all to install xp. Just make sure you have all the drivers you need. -
Just make sure you have another computer/OS to download drivers, or download them before you do a reinstall. XP Pro didn't recognize the ethernet, wireless, or modem on my X61s. All i had in my Network Connections folder was firewire
.
