Hi all
I recently ordered a refurb X61 tablet with the following spec for $1200 from lenovo outlet
L7500/Vista Ultimate/multitouch/2GB Ram/1GB turbo memory/100GB 7200rpm hd/DVD Burner/Intel 4965AGN/BT/8 Cell.
However, my friend told me he can get me a X61 with the following spec for $870
T7250NV/XP Pro/2GB Ram/120GB 5400rpm hd/DVD burner/Thinkpad abg/ 8 Cell.
Personally I need a durable laptop with long battery life that is easy to carry, but the tablet feature would be a nice plus. Seeing they are similarly spec'ed, the X61 deal seems tempting, so is a refurb unit w/ tablet feature and few upgrades worth the $350 or so premium than the regular X61?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

You need to ask yourself whether or not you're going to be using the tablet feature at all. If you see no real use for it other than to play around with it, then the X61 would probably be more justified.
But, if the tablet feature means everything to you (even playing around with it is important), then sure, keep it. Or if you want Vista, keep it. Whatever makes you happy.
If you do go with the normal X61, it's better to drop the memory amount down to 1GB and upgrade it yourself. Just my 2 cents.
X61 vs X61 tablet?
