I currently have a non-wide screen, T61 thinkpad. Sometimes I wonder, since Lenovo moved away from non-wide screens in the thinkpads, how does 12.1 " XGA on X61 compare to 14.1 in XGA on my T61 in terms for pixel size?

I.e. will everything fit just the same on X61 vs. T61 except be smaller on X61 or are the font sizes identical and there is just less info displayed on X61 due to smaller size?

Lastly, is Lenovo moving away from non-widescreen models even in the mobility X series?

The same resolution on a smaller screen will give you smaller everything. XGA on a 12.1" is pretty good if you have average eye sight.

As for the widescreen migration, pretty much all companies are making widescreen notebooks since it's less expensive to produce.
