    So I am ordering an X61s, and I've decided to order it with just 512 mb ram and upgrade myself to 2 gigs.

    This is my first time doing a ram upgrade, so I need a little help in picking out ram. Is this ram fine? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145157
    The fact that its called "value select" makes me somewhat hesitant, but I know nothing about ram brands anyways.

    i think the ram should be fine. Corsair rams are generally good. I bought them for myself as well. :)
