    Hi,

I'm very happy with my X61s, XP downgrade.
Only thing that bothers me is the screen resolution. It is native set on 1024x768, don't like it. Too large.
I can set the resolution to 1280x1024 when I uncheck the option "hide modes that this monitor cannot display", but in that case I have to scroll my monitor to see the entire contents.

Is there a way, driver, fix, patch, tweak I can set so my monitor displays 1280x1024 ? That would be great..

No, since it is an LCD monitor, it has a fixed native resolution of 1024x768. You can't go above that without scrolling.

yea no way around that really....change your dpi settings in ur graphics driver...normal is 96dpi...but u should be able to customize that to something smaller...this in turn reduces the font sizes ur system uses...

u can further tweak ur system and reduce menu, title, scroll bar (and others) sizes to ur liking, saves u a little space...mind you these are winxp settings...im sure you can find similar for vista

    Good point!
Only, makes the font get smaller, but the screen resolutions stays the same. Meaning the place for "putting" the text stays the same.

    I am using XP btw.
