    Greetings,

First, thank you for the great forum. I am getting ready to purchase X61s tonight or tomorrow and would like to run by a few quick questions.

    1. I am still struggling with 3 battery choices - slim, enhanced, and 8 cell. What is the difference between slim and enhanced? Is enhanced shaped like a cylinder and has slightly longer battery life then the slim version?

    2. Which wireless card do you guys recommend? I presume none of them support "n"?

    3. I am thinking about buying a usb dvd burner - which brand works well with x61 series (not requiring additional power)

    4. Any other must have options?
I am still on the fence on bluetooth and 7200RPM hard drive

    THank you

    this option supports wireless N.

    3. I don't think it really matters it is all run by USB if product is good it should work well with X61s anyway.

    4. bluetooth - I recommand you to add because all people will use bluetooth and it will be really common.(like USB)
7200 RPM - I also recommand you to have it if you want fast running window. but since it uses more pewer than 5400, battery life might go down littlebit.

The A/B/G card picks up wireless networks I could never get with my atheros n or 4965 cards. I was surprised but the A/B/G card has way better reception in my experience.

I've got the Lenovo USB Super Multiburner with Lightscribe, but I haven't seen anything more about this equipment on the web or on this site yet. I ran across mine when I was searching for other information and actually bought it before I bought the X61. The Multiburner really tipped the scales for me. And it is very light weight. My briefcase is noticably lighter than with my T30, even though I carry my whole office.

I went for the Bluetooth because I travel between two printers. The small adapter that I bought will go with me to use with either printer.
