Hi. Does anyone know the speed difference between the LV7500 at 1.6 Ghz in the X61s and let's say the Intel Atom 1.6 Ghz in a netbook? How and where do they differ? Also is the screen on the X61s really worse than the X200? I am not talking about resolution since I like lower resolution as compared to higher, since I like to ba able to read without straining my eyes. I looked at a Sony yesterday with 1440 x 900 on 12 inches or was it 11.6 ... I have no clue how people can properly work peering at those small letters. I can see them clearly but my eyes don't like them. I am still working on my 5 year old Toshiba Portege R205 and the screen is just fine and it plays videos just fine ... I wish I could compare this screen to that of an X61s. It looks like I will have to drive 3 + hours to be able to look at a Lenovo. Thanks

which X61s screen are you referring to -- standard or ultralight?   having seen them both, i think the standard screen is better than the ultralight in color, contrast, and viewing angles.

regarding the L7500 versus the atom, the L7500 will win any benchmark except perhaps battery life -- although that may be debatable.   if all you're doing is checking email and surfing the web (which is what most netbook owners do) then you're unlikely to tell a difference between the two.   add a heavier application into the mix such as photoshop and you'll wish you had the L7500 and GMA X3100.

it all comes down to your intended purpose.

The X200 screen is brighter than the X61s, but the image quality isn't necessarily better.

Thanks for all the above ... would be looking at the X61s with the normal screen. Seems there are some sales out there and I am trying to find a good one in the UK. Have people had any problems playing movies/videos on the X61s? Seems there has been a lot of debate on that X200 CCFL screen ... I am hoping the X61s will play movies fine. I don't mind the 4/3 aspect, only watch movies on it when travelling (frequently)... does the X61s get very hot ?
