Note the X61s has an UltraLight display. If you need other pictures in different angles, let me know and I'll try to post them.

    Thanks for the pics.
What's your impression of the UltraLight display?

It's very bright at the highest setting. So bright that I lowered the level to 10/15 notches. The viewing angles aren't great. I find myself adjusting the display once in a while. It's definitely MUCH brighter than the 4 year old T40.

How hot does it run? (the right palmrest in particular when downloading large files). How about during casual browsing?
Can you take a picture of the NR front page to get a feel of the resolution?

I have the Intel 4695 a/g/n card. The right palm rest's heat is barely noticable when casually surfing the web. When downloading a large file, it gets warm, but I wouldn't consider hot. I bet I could leave my hand on there forever and it wouldn't bother me. I would definitely suggest the Intel 4695 over the IBM Atheros wireless card.

The bottom of the notebook is suprisingly very cool. Lenovo did a great job cooling the CPU. I previously owned a Macbook and it was at least twice as hot on the bottom. Apple engineers seriously did a horrible job designing the cooling of their Macbooks.

I have the Intel 3945 on both my X60s and X61s. The palmrest on my X60s gets quite uncomfortable just during casual browsing. However, my X61s is cool and comfortable all the time. The difference in palmrest temperature is really quite astounding to me. I don't know whether to attribute it to the OS (XP on X60s vs. Vista on X61s) or the updated design of the X61s with the new vents on the right side...probably both contribute to the palmrest staying cooler.
