    was quoted 8/2, but got email today said already shipped. I was preparing for at least one delay notice. Wow, Lenovo really surprise me this time and keep the good work! :D

    I have the same as you spoon except not fingerprint reader and the 80 gig hard drive.

    1st ESD 6/23
    2nd ESD 7/19
    Got a delay agreement email on 7/21
    After agree, 3rd ESD pushed to 8/7
    Shipped 7/26

    But my first order(same spec.) which I ordered on 6/2 still in process...

    EDIT: I lied. I didn't get Bluetooth in mine. Still, here's to hoping.

    got tracking # this morning, and it is already in town now, and will be delivered today... Isn't that too fast? only took 1 day from Shanghai to US delivery, that's impressive!

    now the question, if I am not at home, will UPS leave it at my door? Can I pick it up from UPS myself later today(maybe should say tonight :))? Weekend is the best time to play with the new toy....

    I ordered the x61s with ultralight on the 12th, ESD was the 31.

    I got a tracking # this morning, and my X61 was at the front door at 10am this morning. I checked the tracking info and it left China on July 26th (yesterday)!

    What can brown do for you?

    Not usually. UPS blows and usually won't let you pick up your package the same day you miss the delivery. Now, if you had your local UPS office phone # you may be able to swing it, I happened to get it from the actual driver one time, but it's not readily available to everyone.

    2 months delay for 100? No, we want 2 days delay for 100. :p


    BTW, I contacted UPS by 1-800 phone, they let me do a local pick up 7pm tonight, not bad. Only catch is the local UPS center is in another town.

    My X61 Shipped Today (7/27) originally ordered June 6th but do to a glitch a rep canceled it so I had to reorder it on the 12th of July cant wait to get it!

    update about my new x61s: the ac adapter is giving out high-pitch noise as reported many times before. Contact IBM right away and will get a replacement.
