    Please compare these 2 setups:

    12.1" UltraLight XGA TFT and Intel® Core™ 2 Duo L7500 LV (1.6GHz, 4MB L2, 800MHz FSB), 2x3 UltraConnect II antenna

    12.1" XGA TFT and Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7500 (2.2GHz, 4MB L2, 800MHz FSB)

How much better/faster is one compared to the other? How much better screen/battery life? What am I comprimising here? Would I notice a difference?

The X61 will be much faster obviously. The L7500 LV is still new; I don't think there are many benchmarks out there yet. The benefit of the L7500 LV processor is that you'll get slightly better battery life. How much? I don't have the numbers. It'll also run a little bit cooler as well.

The UltraLight is a lighter screen. I believe it's also brighter than the normal XGA screen too.

You're basically sacraficing performance for weight (couple ounces), battery life, and less heat by getting the X61s. It depends on what you're doing with your laptop that dictates which laptop you should get.

    I don't think gaming is a priority for anyone considering a X60/s.

I too picked the S but having second thoughts. I mean, I know I wont game but won't a better processor be more future proof?

Check my name and check my past posts. The x61s isn't thinner than the x61 unless you are using the 4-cell slim battery. Dunno if that matters to you, but something to consider.
