I am considering selling my T60 and forking over some dough to get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834146345, which I think is a pretty good deal considering buying direct is about $500 more. The reasoning is that I am in college in my final year and a lot of classes require a lot of figure drawing, and it would be a lot easier if I just had my tablet pc for taking notes and everything instead of having to carry around a laptop + paper notebook for when I can't draw the figures fast enough.
Should I? I am still on the fence about it.

The ThinkPad X61 tablet? It simply rocks ... I use a normal (non-tablet) X61 and I love it! If I had the tablet model, I'd love it even more!
-
Well I know that I should, but I need reasons / justification =[

FYI, the X61t is bigger than the X61.
-
Yes I am aware... it is longer in depth and maybe a little wider, plus the difference in hinges makes a bigger gap between the screen and the rest of the tablet.
-
It's not as light as X61 but I really like it.
I don't think it's wider though.. but it's definitely deeper because of 8-cell battery on the back. (If you get 4-cell, it's not that much)
The battery life for 8-cell is 5hr+ with Wifi on, 20-50% brightness.
I don't know how to explain more than this since it's the same feeling as any Thinkpad but now you can touch and ink :-D -
That deal at Newegg is not a good one. At the end of December you could configure an x61t at Lenovo CPP with those specs for about half that price. Something to be aware of is that almost everyone with the SXGA+ screen have issues with the bezel coming apart. Also, a LV 1.6Ghz processor isn't going to be all that fast if you're doing much CPU intensive work on the laptop but I suppose it's all you need if you're mostly just taking notes and drawing.
X61t - Should I?
