I've read alot on the debate over xga/sxga but could someone tell me a little specifically on the 1280x768 resolution over the 1400 one on the 14 inch T42/T43 models? I'm looking to buy a 14.1 inch 1280x768 and I'm worried about the resolution...

SXGA+ will give you sharper images and stuff, but smaller text. If you aren't really going to be viewing movies or stuff like that, you might as well save the money and go with the XGA.

And if its not readable, you can change icon size, microsoft word zoom etc. If xga works for you though, you might as well save some money and go with xga.

I have a T42 with a 1400 res. and I love it. You get more screen real estate on spreadsheets. My son has a 1280 and he thinks my fonts are too tiny (I think his is way too large and looks like a children's book with big print). My point is that your eyes will get used to whatever you choose and so if money is the issue get the xgs, if screen real estate is more important get the sxga.
