So although I've returned my y500 and decided to buy a MSI gt60-20d, I check in from time to time to see if lenovo has gotten their s*** together and any new advancements on the y510p. I check xoptic pc and gentech pc because their the top 2 resellers out there and I stumbled across this, XOTIC PC | LENOVO IdeaPad Y510p (59375625) , but what's even more interesting is the upgrades they offer, typo or not I think its the best alternative out there for people to purchase from.

Something like this:
VM-R2021D (SATAII to mSATA RAID Card in 2.5 Inches SSD Housing) - M-FACTORS Storage
Although I don't know how much performance difference you'd see over putting something like a 840 pro ssd in there... -
Thanks for the link.
Interesting that you can't buy a stand-alone DVD or Blu ray ultrabay from this company, either, Lenovo doesn't sell them. This company doesn't sell them. I'm beginning to think that they don't exist. -
No problem, and why am I not surprised, the end of June has come and gone and still no ultra bay support. At this rate with the high demand and shortages of parts, it wouldn't surprise me if they don't period, my guess is they will come out with the next iteration of the "y" series befor ultra bay support is introduced.
