My 32 bit inspiron has died leaving me without a 32 bit system for testing. So I bought a new copy of XP (SP3) and it says it can't find the disk on my T61p. The disk runs Windows 7 fine.

Press F1 when the ThinkPad logo shows up on startup then switch to compatibility mode somewhere in the Config section (SATA). Though if you have a slipstreamed XP disc with the Intel RST drivers you don't have to do this.
