    Fan - $29.99
    GPU - $229.00
    DVD - 69.99

    Hard drive not available yet

$30 for an extra fan is reasonable, altho the Y400 doesn't get nearly as hot as my old MBP (keyboard doesn't burn my finger tips)

$230 seems a bit steep for 2nd GPU when I paid $750 for the laptop, but it exists, and in time should come down in price. 650M SLI +50% performance upgrade for down the road... (The reason I bought the Y400)

$70 for a DVD that's not blue ray. Mine came with a dvd I've boxed away. Replacement part.

Looking for a sale on p/n 0C22230 GPU, what would other folks be willing to pay?

Y500 also has the same options now up for pre-order:

What great timing, ups says my y400 will be here tomorrow before 1030am! Think i might order the fan right away just for some weight savings and added cooling, i don't think the performance increase will be as much as 50% if you look at benchmarks for gt650 vs the sli

I am wondering if those ultrabays will work on my Lenovo Y570... (not in SLI but solely the 650M)

I don't think the y570 supports the ultrabay. I highly doubt it will work.

    Only in China, i'm afraid:

    TaoBao

    1600 Yuan, so roughly 260$ Canadian/255$ USD

But yeah, i can confirm this is legit, if you look at the pictures you can see this is a M4 not an M5.

Lenovo finally launching the ultrabay GPUs for Y510p and Y500 by the name of GT755M5 and GT750M5.
Do a quick google "GT755M5 lenovo" and "888014847 lenovo" to find more.
The GPUs can be found on lenovo's website and images of the packaging can be found on some Chinese websites.

The 750's have existed since release of the Y510p, because the Y510p is sold in SLI editions. The Y400/Y410p is not availible in SLI 750 so far.

To the best of my knowledge, after speaking with some of the Technicians at Lenovo, they aren't manufacturing the ultrabays anymore. The company responsible for producing them went out of business this year, hence why the independent 750m ultrabays have been nonexistent, along with the 650m ultrabays going out of stock. I'm guessing that Lenovo has a certain quantity of the ultrabays left for their machines which will eventually go out of stock and never return. It could be that the people I spoke to were out of their minds or something, but even so, I would not count on there being any official 750m ultrabays being sold, and DEFINITELY not any of the 755m.

If the company that makes them went bankrupt, why are they still selling SLI models? Better yet, why are they still selling UPDATED 755M Sli models?

Take anything that a Lenovo rep tells you with a grain of salt, they are known to mislead people.

Who knows? Maybe they switched manufacturers, or they were just sitting on those cards, waiting to release a new higher price model. I believe the latter sounds more likely, because the other ultrabay addons have also went absent this year. I highly doubt Lenovo only orders 100 cards from a manufacturer and waits until they sell the batch. Like most businesses, they probably order truckloads according to their marketing/sales plans, and then replensih automatically if need be. Personally, I just wouldn't bet on strong support, if any, at this point.
