So I installed an SSD into my brother's Y410P. Initially had it in the optical bay but then pulled it out and swapped it in for the original hard drive, put the original drive in the optical bay. Everything seemed to go smoothly but now when he tries playing guild wars 2 the laptop gets ridiculously hot over on the left side. Like too hot to keep your hand on to use the wasd keys.
Any ideas what could be going on? The fan is still running. I did re-run Winsat formal -restart clean after installing and after moving the drive, wonder if that tweaked the hardware somehow? Wondering if I could have tripped some setting somewhere, am thinking (and hoping) likely not a hardware thing since the fan still is running. Left the foil in place around the drive bay and just slid the SSD in there. At a bit of a loss...
Thanks in advance!

Huh that's strange. First of all both the ultrabay and the SSD would be on the left side, so I have no idea why the right side would start heating up.
Does he have HWMonitor installed? If not tell him to install it and then take note of his temperatures while he's gaming.
