Does the idea of having a higher resolution panel on the Y460 appeal to anyone else? I'd really like to see a 1600x900. I've looked around a bit but haven't had any luck finding a replacement panel with a higher resolution.

If Lenovo knew how much money they could make with higher resolution screens they would have them available before I stopped typing this sentence.

I am interested with anyone who has popped a 900p or 1080p in this laptop. I would spring for it if someone has successfully done it....

That's debatable. Lenovo butters their bread with corporate customers, who probably aren't buying many Y460s.

Seeing as the 14" and 15" Y-series machines have historically stuck with only 1280x800 and 1366x768 screens, I doubt a 1600x900 screen will be available any time soon. It would make the Y460 and especially the Y560 a far more compelling option, though.

I'm talking in terms of other like systems such as the HP Envy 14, Acer 4820TG, etc... At one point the 1600x900 display for the Envy was a $300 upgrade. How the company that made it "went out of business" is baffling.
