    hi all
    i just joined as this forum is the most informative :)

    anywho
    the y470 is the only laptop i want with regards to performance and price wise
    but to my disgust lenovo us wont ship to australia :(
    anyone know where i can import one from

    I know of a few Y570's on eBay but nothing for the Y470, keep tabs on eBay.

    why not a Y570? If you want to a laptop from Lenovo.com Australia website you can use the coupon code BULKONE15 (it is case sensitive) to save 15%.

    14" MSI X460DX is thinner/lighter, has less issues and comes with global warranty. Suggest import one of those rather than a Y470.

    sounds like a good deal and a lot more readily available, plenty on ebay :)

    i have searched and searched........
    nowhere sells the y470
    only links back to the lenovo website
    i lie, i did find one but for 1600 on ebay but not prepared to pay that much
