Hey all, I just got my Y470 and I was wondering if this is normal or I just got a lemon. When I look at my screen, I can discern pixels, and see 'lines' between them. It's not terribly obvious, but kind of visible and totally visible once you start paying any attention. I did not have any issue like this on my previous laptops, including a 15.6 inch vaio with the same max resolution. Is this a hardware/software issue? What should I do? If hardware, does sending in fix it, or is it just a bad screen all Y470 have? Any other models with this problem? Thanks.

Here's a photo taken with a camera -- bookmarks bar removed, in the rest I think you can clearly see the pixelation and lines between the 'grains' of pixels.

Just found out I have AUO lcd as opposed to LG, and apparently LG's are slightly better. I wonder if I can send the laptop in for an LG screen replacement?

It is just the pixels, you shouldnt notice them if you are at a normal sitting distance. I dunno. I can notice it on mine when I put my nose up to it.

I hope I can get used to it because it hurts my eyes/head even when I try not to pay attention. :/
