    I decided to try turning switchable graphics off in the bios, as I thought it would disable the intel graphics all together, but did the opposite. So turned it back to switchable, and now I can't get the 6790m installed again. Uninstalled all the drivers and tried reinstalling, but nothing, only the intel graphics get detected... I'm stumped

    Double check your BIOS setting. I can't tell you how many tech's swore they exited the BIOS setting correctly, only to find they didn't "save" the changes they made.

    restarted my computer enough times, it seemed to resolve itself.. Anyone try 6770m drivers at all?
