I just ordered a Lenovo Y470P, and want to upgrade the wifi to an intel 6250, as I prefer using the 5GHz band at home. This is my first Lenova notebook, and have heard rumors bout Lenovo being a bit sticky on hardware changes, is this true, or will it be as easy as every other notebook Ive owned to do?
    Thanks

Well hopefully the 6250 I ordered works with it... What a PITA, that lenovo has to be that way. I would have paid for them to instal a better wifi card, but there was no way to customize when ordering.

Wifi upgrade was a failure.... Not very happy... Blu-ray drive upgrade was successful though.

Was it a Lenovo branded Wifi card or just a normal Intel wifi card?
