    I just ordered a new Y480 for $899 with blu ray and 1TB! :)

Any suggestions on what the first thing should do is when it comes in? I'm excited (this will be my first laptop ever)!!

Congratualtions! :) First thing I always do is to get the essential software sorted out followed by benchmarking, mostly using some graphic intensive games. After that I give the screen, keyboard and audio a thorough run through.

I recieved my Y480 on Friday.
They are still shipping with the 640M LE

The biggest drawback is the terribly slow hard drive ...which I will replace this week with a SSD.

My understanding was that they all had the LE, no?

That's what mine has, and I've read it's what all of the initial batch will have until later in the year.

I purchased mine the day they were available in stores (happy coincidence) and before I left Fry's I walked over and purchased an Intel 520 SSD and a 16 GB RAM kit (Corsair memory they had labeled as "Mac Memory", but it's been working flawlessly since installation.)

So far I'm very pleased with the performance of the laptop, but wish it had a Thunderbolt port like my Macbook Air.
