Guys, i'm going to buy the y50 here in Brazil. But i have a question: Nontouch Full HD or 4K?

They have the same specs, except:

Y50 NONTOUCH FHD has: 8 gb ram(2x4), 1TB SSHD, Full HD panel. It costs 1850 dollars.
    Y50 4K: 16 gb ram(2x8), 250gb SSD, 4K panel. It costs 2200 dollars.

The difference is 350 dollars. Is it worth?
If i buy the full hd version, i'm going to sell the SSHD for 140 dollars and buy an 250 gb SSD for 180 dollars.
So, this is going to take the difference to 310 dollars. What do you guys think?
Just remeber, these are brazilian prices. That's why it's so expensive.

Is it worth it to you? Do you want 4K? Would you make use of 16 gigs of RAM? If you get the FHD nontouch, it looks like your display would be significantly worse than the 4K. So basically... if you don't need the RAM and the screen isn't terribly important, go with the FHD.

Full HD : Bad TN screen with no viewing angles whatsoever

Ultra HD: Good glossy IPS screen that is locked at 48hz refresh rate

    Take your pick :p

Yep, the 4k screen is locked at 48hz at all resolutions.

They really consulted the gamers didn't they

That 48 fps thing sucks, indeed. Well, i think that maybe the best option is to take the full hd and maybe change the screen later? But that means a 150 dollars cost here in brazil, wich makes the difference even closer.

I really dont know what to do

Sounds more like user incompetence or software issues to me than an actual physical hardware issue. It's eDP after all so bandwidth can't be an issue. Anyway, 48 Hz just sounds like some arbitrary number unlike 30 or 60 Hz.

Oh its definitely software related. I don't doubt that the screen physically display 60hz, but the only resolutions through the Intel HD graphics are with 48hz, and you can't make a custom one. Its up to either Intel or lenovo to update drivers or something of the sort, but honestly I wouldn't count on it.

I'd put my money on the Intel driver. They've never been known for making good graphics drivers, or GPU's...
