Y50's bad Chi Mei display - a matter of manufacturing date or i5-4200H?

    Hello,

I'm about to get one of Lenovo's Y50-70s but am quite afraid of getting one of the bad Chi Mei displays. I could take a look at a Y50 in a nearby electronic store but, unfortunately, it was equipped with Chi Mei and this is really, really disappointing to look at it. :(

Anyway, the package lable said that it was manufactured on 21st May, so it's been a quite early production. The CPU is the i5-4200H.

    My questions:
Is it more likely to get one of the (slightly) better AUO displays if the unit has been produced recently? I could also ask, whether Lenovo has switched from Chi Mei to AUO as the weeks have passed since release ?

Or do they still build in Chi Mei, regardless of the mfg date, resulting that it's only a personal matter of luck not to grab one?

Has it maybe sth. to do with the built in i5-4200H models since they have been sold at a lower price than the i7?

Thank you for your help in this thread!
