I have to say, I'm very pleased with my single 750m so far. I turned skyrim to the ultra preset and ticked shadows down to high and I get 45-55 fps even with the hi res textures. Sc2 HoS is also at max settings and I'm getting over 35 fps, with a potential 45+ with minor tweaks. I'm in no current rush for the ultrabay card and will probably wait for the 50 percent of sale. Might try to overclock but I'm not seeing a need yet.

Probably after Lenovo runs out of stock of the 650m models. My guess is 2-4 more weeks

Amazon appears to be running out of stock. 3-6 week lead time for their warehouse restock, so that might be the new model

I thought that the y500 still doesn't work with optimus even in a single card configuration ... ? Has that been changed?

It doesn't say anything about Optimus in the specs. I assumed it just wasn't enabled at all in the Y500 in single or SLI.

I can't seem to find this laptop with the gt750m in europe? I can't find it anywhere, and i need a new laptop soon, and i'd like the version with the 750m instead of the 650m. Does anybody know where i can buy one in europe? Or are they not yet relased in europe yet?

I have the single 650. I just ordered the ultrabay 750. Should there be any problems with having two different graphics. Tech said it would be better than getting another 650 ulatrabay. Thanks in advance for any help.

I think you're going to have issues. This article should apply unless Nvidia changed the way they did SLI. http://www.10stripe.com/featured/quick/sli-crossfire.php

In short, you have to have the same model number. Some of those techs have no clue what they are talking about, so beware. I could be wrong, but I personally wouldn't risk it

Most probably wouldn't work. Despite being based on the same GK106.

As we know, Nvidia likes to put a stranglehold on its customers; they're more shrewd in doing business than AMD.

While with an,AMD you can crossfire multiple GPUs as long as they share the same chip. Then again, run at same clocks to reduce stuttering.

i.e. 7970 Ghz, 7950, 7970 and certain 7870s (all must be based on the same Tahiti Chip)

I want you to post back so we all know. It would be very beneficial for many people.

That said this thread has a life of it's own. At some point new threads are very good ideas. They can more concisely deal with relevant issues so to speak. I will not read 10 pages back for fun. Should I? I don't know maybe I should but it is as it is.

But I do want to know like all the rest of you, so I am trapped just the same.

Why would you want to downgrade your ultrabay to 650M anyway?

There are some retailers that sell the 650m ultrabay and at a better price. Better get one while you can. Chances are Lenovo won't sell the old one again.

I'm glad Chrome lets you search your history results or I never would have found this
Lenovo Y500 Removable Graphics Gn36 - ATS - Online Computer Store

Lenovo, in annoying fashion, kept the same part number. You'll have to call these guys and see how old the stock is. There was another listing that sold the power adapter as a combo. I haven't found it again yet. Neither are searchable on Google anymore for some reason. I'll let you know if I find more

Also try searching by the part number 0C22235. There are many people who have older listings up. One is bound to have your card

Why don't you just open it and check it out. Maybe they are too lazy to change the stickers and inside you will notice the 750M (though I doubt because many have already received the same as you).

Who knows...check the link in my post directly prior to yours, that states it is a 750m Ultrabay...however I did not get the correct model, so the jury is still out if it actually exists....

Keep it and sell it on eBay when the 650 ultrabay are gone to the world. Nobody has them anymore according to Lenovo.

Only costs 50 cents to put a listing up and see. Just price it for whatever but it now price you want and monitor how many views and watches you get.

So essentially there is a gt750m SLI, the problem is just that lenovo does a very bad job of updating the information on their website and fails to keep their customer support informed.

I just tough i should say that i have bought the 750 SLI, so you guys know that it exist. I don't have an opinion on the laptop yet, because it haven't arrived Norway yet, but 750 SLI should pack a punch! BF3 on ultra with around 40fps. If you have any question i can try to answer it, but i wont get it before around 4.07.2013
