This may only be an issue for older Y500's equipped with the Elantech touchpad. The touchpad has been making uncommanded inputs while the lid is closed. This is another issue in a long list of issues that I've band-aided, thanks Lenovo, you piece of sh!t of a company. With this one, I simply disable the touchpad FN+F6 before I close the lid. So far, that is the only solution I've come up with. How difficult would it have been to add this function to the drivers? Elantech? You piece of sh!t. Or better yet, to engineer a touchpad that works properly? Elantech? You piece of sh!t. Anyway, I digress. So, anyone come up with a more elegant solution? Thanks for reading my rant. This concludes my daily Y500 bash of the day. Stand by for tomorrow's episode: Lenovo, all your bases are belong to us :D

Elantech is just fine, it work perfectly on my former Asus and MSI so maybe blame Lenovo?
