Has anyone noticed that the frames on dedicated PC Games drop off when the Y500 isn't plugged in? I edited all the power prefences for "not plugged in mode" and the performance still sucks. Is there a fix for this?

No fix. Most laptops with powerful discrete GPU's throttle severely when unplugged because the battery simply cannot supply enough power.

If you have a Haswell Y-series, i recommend switching to the iGPU while gaming to improve framerates on battery.

If you've been reading this forum and every thread, clearly the Y500 does not have Haswell or an iGPU, that is a much discussed Y510p feature.

I'm going to reiterate what octiceps said, it's not possible.
