title says it all!
y510 and y410 has same specification except y510 having 1920x1080p screen resolution & y410p with matte screen.
also unlike y410p y510p has numeric keyboard which I don't like, but y510 has full HD with only $30 difference.... so TEMPTING![]()
what do you guys think? y510 or y410?
(by the way how is touchpad and optimus technology? i head they were bad, disabled in y500 version?)
also I hear y510p is made of aluminum and y410p is made of plastic. is that right? or are they made of same thing?

I think that none of them are made of aluminium. I tell you the truth, I bought the Y410P the other day (the basic model, 829 without taxes). I was going to buy the 510, but I checked that for the same money, I got the 1600X900 res vs the 1366 in the 510p. But I don't know which model are you looking for..

First of all, wrong forum
Pros of Y410P:
- No numpad
- Glossy Screen
- 1 pound lighter
- Smaller
Pros of Y510P:
- Easier to find SLI card
- Matte Screen
- 1080p Screen (DOES NOT COME ON THE CHEAPEST MODEL!!)
- Numpad
As for the aluminium/plastic, the Y410p has a plastic exterior and aluminium finish interior (making it lighter, but look cheaper). Y510P has aluminium finish in/out. -

Lenovo Rep said Y410P SLI modules out by late august/early september.
