I've got the gt750m SLI version of the Y510P and am looking to get something for the ultrabay so that I can use the on board GPU to save battery when not doing heavy gaming. I've looked everywhere, but can't seem to find the HDD caddy with the side bezel. I stumbled upon the optical drive including the side bezel, but man is it expensive....
Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p Optical Drive DVD Set - $145.00 : US PC Parts, Professional PC Parts Supplier

Any body have any ideas for what I can get for the ultrabay that includes the side bezel? If nothing that includes it, are there any HDD caddys that don't fit too terribly? I am in Canada btw.

    Thanks!

So I asked the site I linked if they'd sell just the bezel and they said yes, but for $53..... $53 for a piece of plastic.... sigh

Really? I didn't notice that, for shame.

I would talk to a representative and "confirm" that it comes with the HDD, so when it doesn't you can get it replaced.

Hahaha, I got a coupon for $100 through the y410p pricing error fiasco up here in Canada. Wonder if they'd let me use that?

Yeah , I had read a couple of posts saying that users applied it to tablets, but I am guessing they either got lucky or weren't being entirely truthful. The hunt continues...

Just a quick update. It turns out they had quoted me for the wrong piece when giving me the initial price. The side bezel is actually for $40 (still a bit expensive for a piece of plastic), but they also had the HDD caddy for $32 and confirmed the bezel clips onto it. I am in Canada and the HDD caddy off the Lenovo site is 189.99 for us so I bought these two pieces from them for around $75 (shipping and all included), which would mean huge savings if it all works out. I will post here when the parts arrive and let you all know if they work out. I've looked every where for the ultrabay hdd caddy or optical drive with side bezel at a reasonable price for when I don't need the extra GPU and this is the closest I've come.

I believe they do. Lets see how long shipping takes to Canada.
