Actually I would suggest the Cooler Master U3 Plus or the Cooler Master U-Stand, there are moveable fans u can adjust to suit the laptop. =)

Usually laptop coolers do not make much difference, free and simple solution will be placing a book at the back of the laptop and elevate it for air circulation. Removing the Y510p bottom base cover drops abt 5-10 degrees and works for me. At this moment I am planning out on a bottom base cover mod and adding additional fans to cool down the system quickly.

I bought a Logitech N200 cooling pad since it works on your lap, has a padded bottom, and a strong adustable-speed fan. In addition, I bought some round rubber feet that I placed near the rear of the pad so the laptop is lifted. The rubber feet are about 1/2" thick. It seems to work well.

I purchased the pad (refurb) from meritline.

Actually, unless you keep your house at 80F + and never run your air or anything, they won't help one bit. If you have the laptop on a hard surface to where air can get around it, then that is about as good as it gets.
