I'm wondering if there's any good reviews/write-ups of the SLI version of the Y510P, I've not been able to find any and wouldn't mind seeing more about the laptop (and if early issues have been figured out/fixed). Also, has anyone tried downgrading to Windows 7?

    I dont have a y510p SLI, but i do have a y410p.

The build quality is nice, and mine didnt come with any defects. The only thing i dont really like is the touchpad.

As for downgrading with Windows 7, people are reporting lots of problems when doing so, and dont use the nvidia beta 7xxM drivers yet, because they are known to reduce performance.

My Y510 is well built and has great performance once I cloned the 1TB drive to a Samsung 840 SSD. Boots in under 8 seconds. Very nice! I'm fine with Windows 8 so never tried 7. I only use this as a gaming and web surfing platform (always plugged in), It servers both functions well.

    Cheers,
