I am planning to buy the Ideapad Y510p with the GT755m SLI configuration, however, after skimming through a myriad of websites i found controversial info concerning the SSD/NGFF....

So i am asking: I definitely want the SLI configuration (SO an HDD in the ultrabay slot is out of question), so which model is the one i have to buy in order to make sure that i have the NGFF slot.... The one with the 256 SDD ? The one with 1000/8 HB ? The one with 1000/24 ?

I would really appreciate if someone could give me this information...

    Cheers and Thanks in advance,
    L.

Any model purchased directly from Lenovo will have the connector.

    Guten Tag,

Any model with the 1TB + 24GB SSD will have the M.2 connector.

    Cheers,

Hey... Cheers for your replies...... can anyone from europe (germany) who purchased the SSD or the 1000/8 model confirm that these models don``t have the NGFF adapter ? Cause it`s frigging difficult of getting a 1000/24 model over here...

Just like the guy above said, all units that were directly purchased from lenovo store/US have the m.2 connector and other re-sellers don't have it. I think you can try looking for a shipping company that ships from US to Germany. Buy it online (Lenovo Store/US) then make your unit shipped to that company's US address, then make them ship it to you. I just don't know if FEDEX,DHL or UPS have this service. The drawback is that it will cost you a lot more.. Goodluck... :)

hmm..... even the german lenovo store does not stock the 1000/24 model with SLI..... shame..... probably I`ll buy the gigabyte p25w then, cause having the ability of using an SSD in addition is a must have for me... stupid decision of lenovo....

    Greetz,
    L.
