Hello, on the Y530 High Performance Media Series, many people say that it is over reflective, and that it is not that good. I wanted to ask, if anyone owns one of this series notebook, in daylight, does it make the desktop very light and hard to see? Also in a little change of angle? Thanks, I just ordered one but it hasn't come yet, but I REALLY want to know if this will occur. =/

You must be excited waiting for your new laptop!

There will be some glare if there is direct light on the screen, but since this is a laptop you can always move around as needed.

In darker conditions, the gloss screen is far superior to the matte, especially with anything that has graphics (almost everything these days!). Once you get used to the gloss, you won't want to go back to the matte!

im really asking about the LED lit part, like doesn't a little tiny bit brighter in the day cause them to be really light colored? (but thanks for suggestions)

Correction: once you get used to matte, you won't want to go back to gloss, unless you live in a permadark cave. My current laptop has a glossy screen that is good only at night. In the day (mind you, I use it indoors), the gloss is extremely bothersome. Which is one reason I opted for the T500 with matte display.

But, different people have different preferences, and some people love the glass overlayed glossy screens.

Back to the OP: I know Fry's Electronics carries the Lenovo Y530 in its stores, so if there is a store near you (chances are, probably not unless you live in the Bay Area of Cali), you can go check it out. If not, Best Buy and all major electronics retailers should carry HP laptops with the Brightview Infinity display - that should be similar to the one on the Y530.

LED backlight will make the screen brighter than CCFL counterparts, which should help outside viewability.
