    Hi,

I recently (a few days a go) purchased the Lenovo Y530 model for my father, since his older 4 year old laptop recently died. I set up a clean Windows Premium for him, added 2 gigs of ram (total of 3), anti-virus protection and all the things he needs.

However, 2 times (once on Saturday and once today) the laptop has shut itself off. From him (dad), I was able to find out the following:

    - He'll be watching a film or browsing the internet for 1-2 hours with just the battery.
    - When he goes to plug the computer into the AC via the cord, his google desktop shuts down and in a matter of 1-3 minutes, windows shuts itself down. His battery still has life in it, and I can't find any answers online.

I will be calling Lenovo tomorrow, but wanted to know if anyone here has any ideas or has encountered this in the past.

    Regards.

Thanks - however, this setting is already in place and this happens even when the battery is fine.
