    Y570, Z570, E520...

Does anyone know any specific release dates?

Will any of these have a 1080p screen option?

I really like the Y570, Z570, and E520 models from what I have seen and am trying to decide between these and XPS 15. I will probably wait on one of these if it is going to have the 1080p screen option but if not I will prob get the dell.

    Any other suggestions?

I am pretty sure that none of these are going to have anything more than the regular HD screen. The way they are able to keep the cost so low on these model is to limit customization and get the crappy screen that are button of the bin. I would recommend getting the XPS 15 or the classic Thinkpad series of you want high screen resolution.

Given the price of a fully loaded XPS 15 with the B+RGLED screen why not consider a real ThinkPad like a T510 or T520?

I know for a fact that the Y570 and Z570 will not have 1080p as that information is on the site. The E520 page is down but I doubt it'll have a 1080p screen.

I ordered and cancelled a Y560p, and then I considered buying a Y570, until I finally concluded that Lenovo's 1366x768 screen is too crappy. I don't understand why Lenovo doesn't offer buyers the ability to purchase a better FHD screen. It's a shame, because I really wanted to give Lenovo a chance. Instead, I went back to Dell and bought a XPS 15 (L502X) with 1920x1080 R+GBLED and a faster processor than Lenovo offered.

I still have Lenovo set as one of my home pages, and I will check back from time to time.

I guess most people buying IdeaPads don't really care about screen resolution. Plus it's how they sell 'em that cheap by only offering a 1368x768 screen.

I think you're right. I wish I could take parts of the Thinkpad W520, the Ideapad Y560p and the XPS 15 and combine them to make the perfect laptop. I'm probably missing parts from other computers too.
