I just bought the model with the 1080P screen and 1 TB + 16 gb mSSD. Any simple or advanced tips on how I can prolong its life? I'm hoping it can last me at least 4 years.

A few obvious simple steps I can take are:

    1. Carry it around in a good waterproof padded case.

    2. Be gentle when closing and opening the screen.

    3. Keep it cool so the fans aren't worked as much. The more they run the quicker they will fail. I'm going to get a laptop cooler for this reason.

    4. Get a keyboard skin cover

    5. Replace the hard drive with a SSD (I'll do this when prices come down some more)

Generally, don't drop it. Don't move it much while on to protect the hd. Don't spill things into it. Otherwise, all the laptops I've had have run years and years without an issue.
