I am worried I am going to hit and break the jack itself when my speakers are plugged in. What solutions guys? The audio jack is right by where I type and use the mouse. I'd rather have in it the back.
    Thanks!

Well there are some small L-shaped 3.5mm jacks/splitters whatever you call them. This won't protrude as much, but it still isn't ideal. Other than that, or simply streaming audio wirelessly to your speakers one way or the other, I have no more ideas for you.

How do you even encounter this problem anyway? When I use it, my mouse hand is much further along the notebook, closer to the screen, the audio jack is no problem for me.
